Guys and/or Dolls
I wasn't going to post anything tonight. It's been a hectic yet satisfying weekend - all sorts of things have been achieved, but they're all too mundane to bore you with. So I was going to leave this until tomorrow in the hope that something would irritate me sufficiently to trigger a post. But then I watched Top of the Pops with Small Person (as is Sunday night tradition at Surly Towers) and now I have a question. I don't want to offend, or appear naive, or get all vacant on you, but I know a diverse bunch of My question centres around the Pussycat Dolls. I heard a rumour on the radio the other day - well, I say I heard a rumour - it was too contentious to air, so since the allusion the other morning I have been speculating on what the scandal might be. Having seen them on the TV this evening, I just wonder if someone can answer me this:
Have one, or some, or all of the Pussycat Dolls previously erred, um, more on the five-o'clock-shadow-and-understanding-sports side of the equation? I studied them intently for the five minutes they were on screen, and a couple of them were a little too close to call.
If you know something, or could care less, feel free to pipe up. Failing that, call me names and I'll bore you some more tomorrow.

But yes, I'm inclined to like them more if they've smuggled in a tranny.

Well, having never even heard of them, I must say they all look nice and friendly so it doesn't really matter either way.
Whilst doing some research on this issue, I discovered that one of the 'dolls' is named Mia Shittam. How terrible unfortunate, eh? Oh, and she gets my vote for being transgendered for no other reason than doing a Google search for her brings up virtually the same page on different sites. There's a cover up conspiracy there if ever I saw one.
If I may be blunt; I can confirm that most of them have previously had a cock between their legs.

Actually my friend and I have always said that their current hit ("Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me...?") would be a GREAT song for us to sing to straight guys :)

I really liked the last single but they have immediately moved on to the boring and gooey ballad phase of their careers. Huh.

The Pussycat Dolls were originally a franchise "dance act" (that veered towards lap dancing, apparently) that mimed over whatever records were famous at the time. Dancers came, dancers went - there were no set members, just as there is no "Ian van whatever" - just a bunch of session hires. They gained a sort of notoriety, to the extent that Britney et al sometimes got on stage with them, generally after a few bevvies (in Britney's case, probably something sweet and sticky.)
Eventually their management decided to go global, and do the "real record" thing. The current line up isn't the first, and won't be the last. Bearing in mind the "showgirl" roots, it's almost certain there's been a transexual in one or other of the line ups they've had (apparently common in that sort of act - no idea why), hence any rumours, which may or may not relate to the current lot.
You've no idea how sorry I am to know this sort of stuff.
My money's definitely on the redhead.

Maybe that's why I found them so fascinating to watch.
Don't know about all that stuff, although at least I have heard of the pussycat girls. Don't like them though - I find them vaguely disturbing without quite being able to work out why.
I really disliked the concept of Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me? But LOVE the idea of Jay singing it to his straight mates. I can see a whole new lease of life for the song in that context. LOL
I'm not familiar with their work but am sure these rumours will run and run even if there's no truth in them. Hopefully if there are any TS's or TG's they will be more convincing than Nadia from BB !!!

as to the pussycat thingys, i think the redhead has definitely had a bit of reassignment, but also the one on the far right of that picture. and at least one of the others. mind you, the same could be said for girls aloud...
